Interest is real’ – Crystal Palace keen on player, but Eagles yet to take concrete action for signing

Crystal Palace have included Cerro Porteño’s Gabriel Aguayo in their transfer target list.

On Friday, we covered multiple claims from Paraguay which stated the Eagles want the 19-year-old and have made progress to sign him.

Popular even insisted Crystal Palace are in advanced negotiations with Cerro Porteño and are a step away from securing the transfer.

Nación Media journalist Matías Cuevas covers the Paraguayan club, and he appeared as a guest on Versus Radio to discuss Crystal Palace’s interest in Aguayo.

He states the Premier League side have been following the winger for several months and that ‘there is real interest’ from Crystal Palace.

Although yesterday’s claims said the London club have made advances, Cuevas suggests they are yet to take concrete steps to sign the youngster.

Aguayo is currently with Paraguay U20 at the ongoing South American U20 Championship in Venezuela. The journalist claims Crystal Palace want to see him in this tournament to find out ‘what he is made of’.

Talleres de Córdoba have also looked at Aguayo and are the only team to have made an offer. They wanted the attacker as to replace Ramón Sosa, who left them for Nottingham Forest last summer.
