Dan Campbell should cut Brian Branch from Detroit Lions ― his behavior isn’t OK

Lions Coach Dan Campbell says he and the team have strict rules on behavior. That bad behavior won’t be tolerated. “It’s not what we do. It’s not what we’re about,” Campbell said in reference to brawl between Brian Branch and JuJu Smith-Schuster in the Oct. 12 game.

Well, Brian Branch has been with the team since 2023 and been penalized by the NFL 19 times, 12th most in the league and third most among defensive backs, according to The Athletic.

Seems Coach Campbell isn’t being true to himself or the team. He’s tolerated Branch’s poor behavior for three seasons. Why is he still on the team? Because he’s too good to get rid of? Coach, get honest. The Lions don’t need that kind of representation. Yes, it’d hurt right now with a decimated defensive backfield, but it’d make the Lions a more reputable team.

Refs are making bad calls at Lions games

We are strong Detroit Lions family and season ticket holders. Lately, we have been very disappointed by some of the decisions the refs are making in both college and NFL football.

Yes, some calls are mostly right, but some calls are not made, or for no reason, which is making fans loose faith in the refs. We feel the refs need to show some accountability for their decisions and there should be no room for error.

In Sunday’s case, I do believe Brian Branch was being bullied and pushed the whole game, and the after game scuffle was icing on the cake. Granted, players should know it’s better to use words at that point and walk away. Both teams should get a violation, not just one. It takes two to tango. There needs to be more fairness, no favoritism and more accountability with the refs, or fans will altogether lose faith. All teams should be treated the same, no matter what the name.
