Nottingham Forest could be preparing another major move in the January transfer window, with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall reportedly still firmly on their radar.

Forest made a serious attempt to sign the Sweden international during the summer, but Tottenham resisted their advances. Why Forest want Bergvall

Forest’s interest is understandable.

Bergvall possesses many of the characteristics required to operate at the highest level. His technical quality, composure in possession and ability to progress the ball have made him one of the most exciting young midfielders in Tottenham’s squad.

For Forest, adding a player of his profile would represent more than simply strengthening the squad for the second half of the season.

It would be a statement of intent.

Glasner has been tasked with building a competitive Forest side capable of challenging higher up the Premier League table, and the club have demonstrated a willingness to invest heavily in that project.
