Gout Gout to make Diamond League debut in Monaco this July

Gout Gout, a sprint sensation from Australia, is currently on his way to the Diamond League. The U23 200m pre-programme event in Monaco on July 11 will mark the debut of the young athletic prodigy. Another significant step toward the 17-year-old’s goal of competing in the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo this September is the U23 tournament, which will kick off the Diamond League pre-program.

Gout After placing second in the 200m at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru, last year, Gout is hoping to make his senior international debut in Japan. After smashing Usain Bolt’s U16 200m world record at the Australian All Schools Championships in December 2024, the Queensland native—who also holds the Oceanian 200m record of 20.04 seconds—has been in the news a lot.
