LeBron James lives in a different world than you and I do. Every other day, that man breaks new records and achieves new professional milestones. He is going out and breaking records or even making his own if he isn’t outscoring opponents and winning games. Now he’s about to do it something like that again. King James is just a few points away from becoming the only player in the league to earn 50,000 lifetime points.
LeBron James scored 27 points in the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Dallas Mavericks, bringing his total to 49,921 points. He has already scored 8,162 points in the postseason and 41,759 points in the regular season. He is currently just 79 points short from reaching 50,000 points in his career, a feat that no other player has yet to accomplish.
From Michael Jordan to Kobe Bryant to Shaquille O’Neill and now LeBron James, the NBA has seen many greats. However, none of the others have yet to reach this professional milestone. King James overtook Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 2023 to become the NBA’s all-time top scorer. Attending the last Lakers vs. Mavs game at the Crypto.com Arena, the 77-year-old NBA icon shattered the league’s lifetime scoring record in 1984. During his 20-season career, he scored 38,387 points in total, holding the record until LeBron James of the Lakers challenged for the top place.
LeBron James performs for fans, showcasing his vocal abilities. The Lakers player can be seen crooning to Justin Timberlake’s “Like I Love You” in a recent video that King James posted on his Instagram account.
He was sliding across the court while pitching to the song “I just wanna love you baby” before the video turned to James and the Lakers’ highlights from the Lakers vs. Mavs game. The nicest five seconds for the crowd, however, were when he crooned and attempted to spice up the steps on the shirt. They got to watch him have a good time.
It was impossible for actor Jamie Foxx to refrain from commenting on the video. He just added a goat emoji to show that, in his opinion, LeBron James is the best player in the game. While some fans clearly support that, others disagreed with his decision and wrote irritated comments. But for now, let’s put the G.O.A.T. argument aside and enjoy LeBron James’s rendition of Justin Timberlake’s song.
