The Lions have been very active with their 2025 draft capital as they make a run toward the Super Bowl, trading away four draft picks and acquiring two in the last seven months. Let’s take a look at the movement with those picks:
Holmes’ method to drafting tends to prioritize first and second-round picks while using picks from the third round and beyond as resources to acquire assets. Sometimes those assets are players—as is the case with Smith—other times they’re used to acquire more capital.
