The salary Milan will offer midfielder to fend off Man City and Barcelona

Yet another source has come forward and claimed that AC Milan are planning a renewal for Tijjani Reijnders amid interest from top clubs abroad.

Reijnders is undoubtedly one of the brightest notes of what has been a difficult start to the season for Milan and one of the pillars of the team under Paulo Fonseca. His performances since joining from AZ Alkmaar seem to have put him in the shop window, but Milan now want to take him out of it.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Radio Rossonera), the management want to limit the risk of losing him, knowing that of course huge offers can come in for any player as they did for Sandro Tonali in the summer of 2023.

Pep Guardiola has long admired the Dutchman and believes he could add more quality to the midfield of his Manchester City side, while Barcelona are following the 26-year-old after having tried to get before his transfer from AZ to Milan.

The Rossoneri, however, will not be caught unprepared when faced with tempting offers. With Reijnders’ entourage there has already been concrete talks about a renewal until 2030 and a salary increase of up to €4-5m net per year. The parties are determined to continue together.
