Marvin Harrison Jr., Trey Benson Work Out Close Relationship

It wasn’t until the two were Cardinals draft picks and had traveled to Tempe on the day of their first-ever physicals and club introduction that Trey Benson got to know Marvin Harrison Jr. But what has happened since then? Since Benson met a like-minded person, Harrison and Benson have been inseparable. “When I first got here with him, he was just all about work,” recalled Benson. “Work was my main focus as well. I decide to spend a bit more time with him as a result.”

According to Benson, he and Harrison worked out together for about the whole five weeks the players had off before training camp, either in Tempe or in Los Angeles (both were a part of Kyler Murray’s team-bonding exercises house in L.A.). Though on a few occasions he would arrive fifteen minutes late and receive criticism from Harrison, Benson joked that the workouts would start at seven in the morning. Harrison and Benson are anticipated to play significant roles in the offense. Benson had a strong second preseason game in Indianapolis. Harrison will start at wide receiver, while Benson is expected to be the best replacement for James Conner, the starting running back.

(Marv) pushed me to a level that I never thought I had,” Benson said.

“He’s different. He’s a different dude,” Benson added. “He’s about his business and, you know, that’s how I want to be. You’ve got to be around people that are about that being because you adapt to that
