CorSport: Roma want €35m for Milan target – three counterparts could unlock deal

AS Roma have no intention of giving AC Milan any discounts in their pursuit of Tammy Abraham, a report claims, but they have suggested that three counterparts are welcome.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, Roma have put Abraham up for sale after signing Artem Dovbyk for the striker position but they are wanting €35m to sell the Englishman given they paid €42m three seasons ago.

Abraham is also ready for a new challenge, having barely played last season due to a serious knee injury. He seems particularly attracted by the idea of joining up with his close friend Fikayo Tomori at Milan, while he also knows Ruben Loftus-Cheek well too.

Milan rightly have no intention of spending so much for a player who would mainly be a deputy to Alvaro Morata and that is why counterparts could be key in lowering the cash sum required and getting the clubs closer to an agreement.

The main idea is Alexis Saelemaekers who was supposed to leave but he convinced Paulo Fonseca in preseason, to the extent that the Portuguese coach has even asked to keep him in the squad. The Giallorossi, though, only value him at €10m.

Among the other names that appeal to Roma is the versatile forward Noah Okafor and right-back Davide Calabria, but their valuations are not mentioned.
