Gyokeres decision

Viktor Gyokeres is set to make a final decision over his long-term Sporting CP future.

It is claimed that with speculation over an exit still hanging around the striker, he will decide what his plan is for the coming years.

Arsenal were one of many teams who tracked him over the summer but his release clause always proved too much.

Leicester FFP update

Leicester City have won an appeal against a case with the Premier League over Profitability and Sustainability rules (PSRs) meaning they will avoid a points deduction, football.london writes.

The Foxes, who were promoted back to the top-flight last season, have successfully argued that they were no longer members of the Premier League for part of a period in which they were accused of breaching the rules.

An independent appeal board has ruled that the Premier League did not have the jurisdiction to charge the club during the 2023/24 season, one which they were in the Championship for. The club were initially referred to an independent commission for an alleged PSR breach in March.

What Sterling said after being announced by Arsenal

Sterling has sat down to discuss his move to the Emirates Stadium and it is clear he is happy to be in North London.

He told the club’s official media channels:

You can see the real togetherness, the journey that the boys are on, and the hunger. The togetherness is something I’m looking to be a part of. I’m really excited. There are always challenges and this is another challenge. It’s one that I’m relishing and I’ll really go out there and do my thing.

Sterling’s transfer to Arsenal questioned

Former Arsenal man Emmanuel Petit has told Safest Casino Sites that he is unimpressed by the Gunners’ addition of Sterling on deadline day.

Since Sterling left Liverpool, he hasn’t improved a whole lot at Manchester City and Chelsea. Sterling can have big moments but there is no consistency in his performances. He still needs to improve his final ball and needs to score more, this is the main problem. This is something that Mikel Arteta will not want in his team, he wants young and hungry players, Sterling won’t improve more than another young winger.

Emmanuel Petit flags up Arsenal transfer mistake

Emmanuel Petit reckons Kai Havertz is doing a brilliant job up top for Arsenal.

However, the ex-Arsenal player also thinks they should have signed a new No.9.

Petit was speaking about The Gunners to Squawka;

They’re missing presence up front. Kai Havertz always tries to come deeper in midfield to link up with the midfield players, sometimes he’s asking for the ball behind the defenders. But that’s not enough. This isn’t his natural capacity. So they need someone up front, a typical striker that can convert chances. You get the feeling sometimes that Arsenal are predictable for the opponents when they are not playing well. So they need a Plan B and at the moment they don’t have one.

Raheem Sterling’s first words after Arsenal move

Raheem Sterling has been interviewed for the first time after rubber-stamping his loan move. Here’s what the Arsenal forward – who joined in the final hours of deadline day from Chelsea – said during his sit-down with club media;

I’m buzzing. It’s one where we left it late, but it’s one I was hoping for. Looking at everything, I’m just like; ‘This is a perfect fit for me’ and I’m super happy that we got it over the line.

The free-scoring Nigerian was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, as things played out, Osimhen had to look elsewhere.

Emerging reports indicate the Napoli striker has a break clause in his temporary agreement. Turkish publication A Spor reckon Osimhen can terminate his loan deal in January if Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool come calling. Bayern Munich are also said to be on that list.

Full story on Leandro Trossard after bid rejected

Arsenal had to face up to last-gasp interest from the lucrative Saudi Arabia market. However, despite a swoop from Al-Ittihad for Belgium forward Leandro Trossard, key figures behind the scenes rejected that proposal. It would have seen Trossard leave on loan with an obligation to buy;
