The Florida Gators will have their final opportunity to host recruits for a gameday visit in 2024 on Saturday, as they face Ole Miss. Billy Napier and his coaching staff are riding a wave of momentum following four commitments last week, and they’re hoping to build on that success this weekend. The highlight of the visit list will be four official visitors, including three players who are currently committed to other programs.
Oregon wide receiver commit Dallas Wilson visited campus last weekend and is set to return for an official visit this weekend. Wilson, a top national recruit, is a key target for the Gators as they work to flip his commitment from Oregon. He plans to visit the Ducks next weekend, making this weekend’s visit crucial for Florida.
Florida State running back commit Byron Louis also visited Gainesville last weekend and is scheduled to return this weekend. The Gators have been closely monitoring Louis and have ramped up their recruitment efforts.
Arizona wide receiver commit Muizz Tounkara will make his first visit to Gainesville this weekend after receiving an offer from the Gators in October. A native of Texas, Tounkara has expressed significant interest in Florida.
Hayden Craig, a punter committed to Florida, has remained firm in his commitment since announcing it over the summer. He is now scheduled to take an official visit to Florida and will enroll in Gainesville this January.
In addition to the official visitors, there will be several targets on unofficial visits this weekend, including some who are currently committed to other programs.
Cincinnati offensive line commit Jahari Medlock will return to campus this weekend for his third visit this fall. After visiting Georgia Tech, the Gators are in a strong position to potentially flip Medlock’s commitment.
Texas defensive line commit Myron Charles plans to visit Gainesville for the second consecutive weekend as the Gators aim to make a late push before signing day. This recruitment is expected to be a close race with the Longhorns.
Defensive lineman Javion Hilson is another key target the Gators are focused on as they look to close out this recruiting cycle. Hilson has been in frequent contact with Texas and Texas A&M, but the Gators have remained steady in their pursuit of him.
Linebacker Kellen Wiley will visit Gainesville this weekend, and the Gators may extend an offer after evaluating him in person. Although Wiley is highly interested in Miami and Texas is also a contender, an offer from Florida could sway him.
Several commits will also be visiting. Quarterback commit Tramell Jones will return to the Swamp to assist with recruiting, accompanied by tight end commits Tae’Shaun Gelsey and Micah Jones. Defensive line commit Jalen Wiggins, linebacker commit Myles Johnson, and defensive back commit Ben Hanks Jr. are also expected to visit. Additionally, kicker commit Evan Noel will be in town for the first time since his commitment to the Gators earlier this month.
