Following Leverkusen’s U-turn, Nottingham Forest is negotiating a deal for a “special” ace.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is in the top four of the Premier League and is on track to qualify for the Champions League.

Despite their humiliating loss to Bournemouth last time out, they have looked pretty good at times, so now more than ever, they should be making the most of their newfound status.

Although there haven’t been any reinforcements added to that position during the January transfer window, rumors have been circulating that the Midlands club is looking to add attacking players before the window closes, and have even mentioned names like Matheus Cunha and Yoane Wissa.

Osman Foyo signs a permanent contract with AFC Wimbledon, joining Ipswich Town

Following a good loan stint with Chelmsford City in the first part of this season, the 20-year-old forward recently made his way back to Portman Road

He scored 13 goals for the National League South team in all competitions.

Although he played for Kieran McKenna’s team during preseason, Foyo, who joined the Blues from Norwich City in January 2023, never made a senior game for Town.

He now joins Johnnie Jackson’s side, who sit sixth in table, two points of the automatic promotions spots in the fourth tier. The Dons beat Town on penalties in the Carabao Cup back in August.

On signing for the South West London club, he said: “It’s a real pleasure to be here.

“I’ve been waiting weeks to get this done and I feel this is a place where I can really kickstart my career. I can’t wait to get out, score goals and make our fans happy. I’m powerful, quick and strong – I’ll use my qualities to help me get in the team and stay there.”

His new manager said: “Osman is a player that we’ve been monitoring closely for quite a while. We’re one of a number of clubs who were after him, so to beat off strong sides is huge for us.

“He’s played men’s football last season and this season and has really excelled.

He’s caught the eye at Chelmsford, he’s big, he’s powerful, can play wide, can play centrally – he’s got all the attributes for his game to flourish here at Wimbledon as other forward players have done in recent years.”

For the 2024–2025 campaign, Foyo will team up with former Town forward Joe Pigott, who is currently on loan from Leyton Orient.

Prediction, odds, advice, and preview for Nottingham Forest vs. Brighton

The weekend’s action at the City Ground begins on Saturday lunchtime when Nottingham Forest hosts Brighton in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest will be looking to get back to winning ways in the weekend’s opening Premier League clash after their nine match unbeaten run, which included eight wins, came to a dramatic end last weekend with a 5-0 thrashing by Bournemouth on the south coast.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will be looking for a rapid recovery this weekend as they look to maintain their charge for an unlikely Champions League position, currently sat as high as third in the Premier League having finished last season in 17th place.

Forest have won five of their last six matches at the City Ground, the only dropping of points in that run coming against runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool and will be looking to continue that winning run

Saturday lunchtime sees them take on a Brighton side who have just seen a long unbeaten run of their own come to an end, a surprise 1-0 home defeat by David Moyes’ Everton last weekend being their only loss in their last eight games.

Despite the defeat though, Fabian Hurzeler’s side have still won three of their last four matches, and are unbeaten in their last six games away from home, winning each of their last three, currently leaving them ninth in the Premier League table.

Two contrasting styles of play will come to blows at the City Ground on Saturday as Forest’s immense home record comes up against the Seagulls’ strong away form. I back Forest to respond from their shock defeat last weekend.

With important calls approaching, Nottingham Forest might make four acquisitions before the transfer window closing.

As Nottingham Forest attempts to complete their January window business, deadline day is growing huge. The Reds have until 11 p.m.

on Monday, February 3, to finalize deals, and the next four days should be exciting.

Keeping an eye on the proper incomings and outgoings is especially important because Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is in a strong position in the Premier League standings.

Forest hasn’t added any new players yet, with the exception of signing goalie Wayne Hennessey to a temporary deal.

Defender Andrew Omobamidele, who signed a loan deal to Strasbourg last week, is the lone notable departure going in the other direction.

Despite their best attempts, Forest was unable to close a striker deal in the summer. This time, they have a few days to increase their firepower.

The Reds have been connected to a number of names, and Brentford forward Wissa is one of them.

They are expected to make another attempt after their previous bid, which was reportedly in the range of £18–22 million, was rejected.

Ipswich Town loaned defender Harry Clarke to Sheffield United.

Harry Clarke, a defender for Ipswich, has described his short-term transfer to Sheffield United as a “no-brainer” given the Blades’ pursuit of Premier League promotion.

According to Clarke, 23, “Where the boys are here, going for promotion, it was a no-brainer really,” he said on the Yorkshire club’s website.

“I’ve performed here a few times, and Bramall Lane has an amazing vibe.

“The league is difficult. On their day, anyone can defeat anyone. I wish to provide that experience because I am aware of what it required last year.

“I am young but I’ve been there, so hopefully we can achieve something this year.

” With the Blades in second place in the Championship, two points behind leaders Leeds, Clarke has chosen to pursue a promotion bid rather than fight for relegation at Portman Road.

“We have been looking to strengthen in this area, and we’re delighted to bring in someone of Harry’s quality to bolster our ranks,” stated Chris Wilder, the team’s manager, who has previously added Ben Brereton Diaz, Tom Cannon, and Hamza Choudhury during the January transfer window.

“Despite being young, he has a lot of experience for his age and understands what it takes to succeed at this level.

We have known him for a while, and we are very happy that he has decided to come here while others have not.

Tim Smith on defeating Auburn five times in a row, switching to DeBoer, and the Senior Bowl

Tim Smith left Alabama with a record that might hold for a long time in addition to never losing against Auburn.

Smith received an additional year of eligibility because of COVID, and he was a true freshman with the Crimson Tide in 2020.

The defensive tackle finished his career with a perfect 5-0 record against the Tigers, and Alabama never lost the Iron Bowl.

In Mobile, where he will play in Saturday’s Reese’s Senior Bowl, Smith stated Tuesday, “I hadn’t really kept track of the record until we got into the locker room and started conversing.” “I thought, ‘Damn, have I lost to Auburn since coming here?’” And the response was “no,” so I counted five games before it finally occurred to me.

During his five years at Alabama, Smith participated in the Iron Bowl and started the final three games.

Malachi Moore, a former Crimson Tide safety who was also scheduled to participate in the Senior Bowl before requiring surgery in December, shares the “5-0 vs.

Hancock Whitney Stadium will host the annual college football all-star game and NFL draft showcase starting at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Smith remarked, “I’m quite excited.

” I simply thought it was another chance to show off my skills and conduct a few one-on-ones at this location. To be honest, I’m most looking forward to the chat portion.

Gruden and Morton collaborated with the Raiders in Oakland and Las Vegas.

Gruden hired Morton to coach the Raiders for the first time in 1998.

The two collaborated until Gruden was traded before the 2002 season.

When Gruden rejoined the Raiders as head coach in 2019, they would reconnect and stay together until Gruden’s resignation in 2021.
