Ruben Dias returns to the Manchester City squad for the Premier League match against Ipswich.
Nathan Ake has been sidelined due to an injury, while Ruben Dias is back in the Manchester City starting lineup for the match against Ipswich.
After playing despite an injury sustained in the Manchester derby last month, Dias only started exercising again this week. Despite not playing since, he is immediately included in the squad to play Ipswich.
That might be due in large measure to Ake’s absence. Despite playing the entire game at Brentford in midweek and starting the previous five games, the Dutch defender is now hurt and will not play for Paris Saint-Germain the following week; Pep Guardiola may be questioned about the ailment.
Despite Dias’s return, City has only had two of their starting four center backs available for selection for the ninth consecutive game across all competitions due to Ake’s absence. Following the completion of their January transfers from Lens and Palmeiras, respectively, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis will complete the team.
