With Tennessee’s loss to Georgia, Alabama football is now on track to potentially go to the SEC Championship game and potentially earn a College Football Playoff berth.
Simply said, Alabama is most likely in if they win out and all of the other teams that are predicted to win over the next two weeks also win. As of right now, the Crimson Tide are 8-2 and 4-2 in the SEC. There are now several ways for them to enter the game. To qualify for the SEC Championship, they will need to prevail in any case.
If they win, they will most likely be tied with other clubs. These teams might be Texas, Ole Miss, Georgia, Tennessee, or Texas A&M. If the Bulldogs, Rebels, and Vols win, Alabama and the winner of the Texas A&M vs. Texas game might be tied with numerous teams.
To create this situation, they must defeat Auburn and Kentucky in their upcoming SEC matchups. They both are favored in those contests. Based on conference winning percentage, it is likely that the Crimson Tide will play the winner of Texas A&M-Texas in the SEC Championship. Only if Missouri loses to Arkansas and Mississippi State to finish the season will Alabama be eliminated from the game. If Vanderbilt defeats Tennessee, Alabama would also be in the game.
